Christian Merli racing at the Morano – Campotenese
Christian Merli is travelling down to Calabria to challenge his direct opponents in the 10th edition of the Morano – Campotenese hill climb near Cosenza, the 8th round of the Italian hill climb championship CIVM. The champion from Trentino scored victory here in 2019, breaking the track record. The 7.100 km track will see two practice heats on Saturday and two race heats on Sunday.
“It’s a long journey to be at the start of the race in Calabria, where I took part in 2016 and again in 2019, winning overall and setting a new track record. The surface is rough, and the track is medium-fast, technical, with straights and four hairpins. A great race, and we’ll be doing our best as usual.”
