Christian Merli racing at the 18th Subida Los Loros at Tenerife
Christian Merli has stayed in the Canary Islands, as a guest of the organisers, to race his Osella FA 30 Judd LRM at the 18th Subida Los Loros in Arafo south of Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Saturday. It will be his first time on the 8.100 km track. There will be a practice run on Saturday morning, followed by the two race runs in the afternoon of which the best result will be retained.
Christian’s comment on the race
“A very nice hill climb, difficult, with an initial fast section, then a technical middle section with a series of slow bends. The final section is fast and technical, with two hairpins before the finish line. We’re racing here for the first time and hope for good weather.”
The welcome at Arafo
“Fabulous. I was presented with a plaque bearing the crest of the city. Like in Arona, the official practice takes place in the morning and the two race runs are in the afternoon. The best result is then retained. We’re aiming high, at the end of a fantastic and successful season. I’d like to thank in advance all those who have supported me in this adventure.”
