Christian Merli racing at Luzzi

Christian Merli has travelled 1100 km to race his Osella FA 30 Zytek LRM in the 25th edition of the Luzzi – Sambucina hill climb in Calabria on Sunday. It is the 9th round of the Italian hill climb championship CIVM, with two race heats on the winding 6.150 km track.

The track in Christian’s words
“It’s quite similar to the first section of the Trento – Bondone. I’ve raced at Luzzi only a few times so far. The last time was in 2018, when I grabbed victory and set a new track record in 3’06”16. But I’ll have to review the entire track. It has a mixed layout – twisty with a series of fast double bends alternating with slow bends. The weather should be sunny, with temperatures of over 30 degrees. It’s a very nice race, and we’ll do our best.”
Behind the wheel of Team Merli’s Osella PA 30 there will be Angelo Marino from Salerno near Naples.
